Out of the Blue Update

Hello!

It's been a while since I have updated. Well, first off, I finally got my Carrie Underwood's "Play On" CD! Woot! Ever since she came here to sing live, I have been listening to her songs almost every day. Her live singing is EXACTLY the same as the record, but BETTER. She totally deserves the title of the American Idol and the music awards she has been winning every year. Carrie, you rock!

As for the album, I totally love every song in the album. It makes me relax and groove to the music at the same time. Some of the songs are really heartfelt and with Carrie's voice, the feeling is just amazing.

In terms of NS, it has already been about 2 months. People said I look different but I don't know. Haha! I still feel the same inside but I guess it's the perception you get from people. It always makes me moody every time I want to blog about this topic, especially since today is book-in day, so I shall not blab further. Overall, tough, but adapting to different people and environment. That's all I have to say.

Next week would be John Mayer's "Battle Studies" and Kris Allen's self-titled albums release! Woot! Can't wait to grab my hands on those. LOL.

Until here then. Bye! Nash out! :D

Hello!

I just wanted to pop in and say that I would be in National Service in the coming months so I would be on hiatus for the moment. I might update during one of the weekends but it depends on the situation. Haha!

All right. Here is some randomness.

I totally want the shirt/jacket (left) and the watch on his wrist (right).

Until here then. Bye! Nash out! :D

Up Poster and Wishes

I WANT THIS POSTER! KEVIN THE BIRD IS AWESOME! XD

Not much going on except that I finally got my Walkman Wearable and new Sony Ericsson phone thanks to my mom. Hehe! I love them! Thanks Mom! You are the best. The phone was not exactly the phone I wished for since it's still new and costly but hey, it's still a Sony Ericsson phone! Haha! Sony Ericsson rocks!

I also found out that David's Christmas album would be released October 13th! OH MY HECK! I can't wait!

I have a couple of lunch and dinner dates this week with some peeps. That should be interesting. LOL. Also, Ramadhan is coming so I would like to wish all Muslims out there, Happy Fasting! :D

Until here then. Bye! Nash out! :D

Disney, Pixar Movies Are Awesome!

Heyya!

First of all, let me just wish all Singaporeans out there a Happy 44th National Day! Gosh how time flies and look at the progress the country has made. Awesome stuff. As usual, as a yearly practice, my family ordered KFC and Canadian Pizza. Now, I'm so dang full. Ugh. Oh well. Haha!

I watched Up this morning and boy, it was worth waking up so early just to catch the first slot of the movie. Haha! It was emotional in the beginning with Carl and his wife, Ellie spending their life together until Ellie passed away. Then, off he goes for an unexpected adventure with Russell, a wildlife explorer and an unexpected companion. LOL. It is a heartwarming story for the whole family to watch. I love the colourful bird, Kevin (unexpectedly a female bird) and Doug, the talking dog. Squirrel. .. Hi there! Haha!

Addicted song: A Dream Is A Wish A Heart Makes - Disney Channel Stars

Awesome song. Being grooving to it since yesterday. Haha! Check it out! I love the music video for it too. Disney rocks! Pixar rocks! Woot! :D

Until here then. Bye! Nash out! :D

"It's Been A While" Update

Heyya.

It's been a while since I last updated. -clears webs on blog- Ack! Tsk tsk how dusty. Haha! Anyway I'll try to remember what I have down for the past few days. I apologize if these events are considered "old". Haha!

First off, 2 Saturdays ago, some Singapore peeps and I went to Cathay Cineleisure to watch the David Archuleta Manila Concert on DVD which one Hong Kong Archie kindly burnt for me. We were all stoked and pumped when we ate lunch first at Burger King. Oh one thing about Burger King is only eat there when you are REALLY hungry coz one set can make you full. Why do you think they call it the King of Burgers? LOL.

Anyway, after that, we rented a room and played the DVD. Soon, everyone's wild sides were unleashed with everyone singing, dancing and even jumping along to the concert. And this happened in a small room with a table and computers. So basically there was not much space to jump but they still did anyway. Haha! I'm just happy to see them happy and enjoying themselves although I did not jump with them. Hope you guys had a great time! I know I did.

Then, the next day, my family and I watched Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince at cinema. Talk about wicked! Those who read the book might appreciate and have positive reviews regarding the movie. Those who did not might have otherwise. Overall, I think it's an awesome movie! Gosh you can see how Harry, Hermione and Ron grew and mature from the first movie till now and the emotions that are playing in their hearts now that love is in the air. Also, I love the Harry/Hermione scenes. Beautiful I must say. Oops getting mushy.

Overall, a great movie for Harry Potter fans and I can't wait for the 2-part Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie coming November 2010 and summer 2011. Dark times. There will be light at the end. Haha. All right, moving on. LOL.

Also, I'm currently working on a David Archuleta Calendar for 2010 so you guys can check out Zaren's Workz to view them (link on the right). I cannot believe how fast I'm doing this. I'm WAY ahead of schedule. LOL.

As for music, sophomore albums for Jordin Sparks' "Battlefield" album and Demi Lovato's "Here We Go Again" are out! Be sure to check them out. Awesome songs in them. I love them. Haha! Favourites for "Battlefield" are Don't Let It Go To Your Head and Let It Rain and "Here We Go Again" are Got Dynamite, Catch Me and Remember December. :D

All right. Until here then. Bye! Nash out! :D

Movie Review and Outing

Heyya.

Figured I blog since there was a couple of stuff that happened this weekend. All right here we go.

So today, my family decided to watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. It's actually a pretty awesome movie! What's more, there were wacky scenes in it too so there was a mix of everything. Of course, the main eye-catcher was the robots with their transformations and fights. Combined that with an awesome stereo surround system and BAM! Kudos the producers and the cast of the movie. It must have taken them a lot of hard work just doing the scenes and adding it in the special effects. Well done! :D

Yesterday, I went out with some of the Archie peeps (we call ourselves J.E.I.M.Z) just to hang out and stuff. We went to all sorts of places and had a good time. We also goofed with each other and snap a lot of pictures. Here are some:
There was this huge poster along the underground CityLink Mall for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie so we decided to snap pictures of it. Mind you, there were a lot of people walking along here and it took us a while before we could get clear shots. Haha!

So first we went to Taka as my friend Mai, wanted to buy a plushie. Then we walked around, travelled by train, walked and travelled by train from Orchard to Marina Square to Esplanade. I wanted to buy a plaid shirt but every shirt we found was costly. Gosh! And they were nice colours and designs too! Pity. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Then, when we arrived at the Esplanade only to find that there was a rehearsal of the National Day Parade there. Awesome! So we witnessed helicopters and jet airplanes flying across our heads to fireworks in the end! It was amazing. Even if I do not get to see the National Day Parade live next month, at least I experienced a bit of it. Haha!

In the end, my legs were aching and we were dead tired because of all the walking. I had fun with them though! Haha!

So that's about it. Until here then. Bye! Nash out! :D

Quizzes

Heyya!

I just want to share some results from the quizzes I took at Facebook. Mind you, they mostly are true. Weird. Here they are:

Who Is Your Soulmate?

Belongs With Someone With Rhythm.

Your future lover should be someone with talent. Someone who can juggle your busy schedule and make it work. You guys have something extremely important in your life in common.

What's Your Personality Type?

Type B.

Although you are assertive and a natural born leader, you don't mind being led. No doubt, you may procrastinate at times, you really are a hardworker. However, you know when to cool down and have fun. You make sure you incorporate rest into your day and often feel agitated without a good dose of alone time.

What's Your Hidden Talent?

Music.

You hear passion all around you, you can't help but stop study or work to hear people walking past. You seek perfection in the collection of sounds. If you not a musician already, you should look it up.

Oh I got Ashley's Tisdale Guilty Pleasure album! It's way better and awesome than her debut one! Rock on Ashley! This album is produced by the best songwriters in the industry and Ashley has put her personal touch on some songs too which is pretty cool. Ashley fans, you will be thrilled and won't get disappointed! Crank up the tunes! :D

That's all folks! Bye! Nash out! :D

A Long Weekend and More Things To Come

Heyya.

I'm having a slight headache now so I'll try to keep this short.

So, as you can tell from the title, I had a busy weekend. Last Friday night, I had dinner with some Singapore Archies and a Hong Kong Archie who came down to Singapore for a holiday. It's nice to see her eye to eye since we have been chatting online for quite a while. We laughed and spazzed as usual about who else as the rest share their experiences in Manila where both Davids performed previously. It's awesome just listening to their stories.

I also like to thank the HK Archie for getting us gifts from HK. They are cool! Thank you so much! :D

The next morning, I went down to Bugis to meet the DA.sg peeps to help them with the LTAC project we are doing for a charitable cause. I had fun hanging out with them. Thanks for the laughs guys! You guys are hilarious!

Today, I attended a friend's wedding. How bizzarre is that? She's around the same age as me and yet she's already married. Most of us at this age are taking the next stepping stones in our lives trying to achieve our goals and dreams. Well, congratulations to her! May she have a happy and everlasting marriage. Cheers!

And to end off, Happy Birthday in advance to Wani! Hope you like the present. It's nothing much, but hopefully it's enough to put a smile on your face on your very special day. :D

There are a couple of things I'm doing this week as well so I'll blog about them after they happen. Haha!

Alrite until here then. Bye! Nash out! :D

Terminator Salvation..Or Something Else?

Hey peeps!

Let me just give a quick update on what has been going on in my life.

Last Saturday, my dad decided to take the whole family to watch Terminator Salvation since it's a lazy Saturday. Well, it's not my kind of genre, but it's better than being a couch potato at home with such boring programmes on TV.

Well, if you are a fan of the Terminator series, you would like this with explosions, guns and whole lot of hardcore dirt (literally). Well, what do you expect? The machines and humans are going on war! Haha! Kudos to the sound system which made me jerk in my seat a few times with its loud bass sounds and surprising thumps. Overall, it's a good movie with cool special effects and aggressive main actor, Christian Bale.

And besides salvaging Terminator, can we please salvage the Earth too? Please? It's getting warmer every day. Goodness. Save Gaia!

Until here then. Bye! Nash out! :D

More To The List

Oh hello!

Just wanna add some more stuff for the good things I'm looking forward to in the future:
  1. Brooke White's debut album
  2. Michael Johns' debut album
  3. Jennette McCurdy's debut album
  4. Ice Age 3 Movie
  5. David Archuleta's Fun Pack on iTunes (June 9th) - Can't wait!
I just realized that I would need a large capacity MP3 player to fit all my updated songs in since my Walkman phone can only fit a certain amount. Gosh. LOL. Maybe not. Well, it depends. HAHA!

Nash out! :D

Movie Review and Good Things to Come

Hello.

Today I watched Night At The Museum 2 and boy, it was worth it! Ben Stiller is one of my favourite comedy actors and he really played his role well. The movie makes you laugh from the start to the end and there are unexpected characters in the movie too. I'm not going to tell you who they are but I guarantee you would be surprised, especially one of them which got the whole audience in the cinema laughing.

What's more, the hilarious dialogues and scenes would prevent you from diverting youe attention from it even for one second. It's a fun movie for the whole family to watch and for those who just wants a good laugh. Also, I would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to KRIS ALLEN, winner of AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 8! He deserves it for all the hard work and being true to himself throughout the competition, giving us unique and awesome performances too. Adam is a great contender too. I wish both of them the best in their music careers. :D

I can't believe that I'm expecting a long of good things to come in the future. Here is what I can think of right now:
  1. David Archuleta's 2nd album
  2. Kris Allen's debut album
  3. Jojo's new album
  4. Jordin Sparks' new album
  5. Ashley Tisdale's new album
  6. Disney Pixar's "Up" movie
  7. Transformers, Rise of the Fallen movie
  8. Blood movie
  9. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie
  10. Band Slam movie
Until here then. Bye. Nash out!

Get your armour. I'm battling against my uncertain emotions.

Sentimental Value and Proper Behaviour

As I have said in my previous post, I'll talk about these 2 things so here we go.

Yesterday, my mother received a flower and a box of chocolates from a maid which she befriended at her workplace. Although she's just a maid, I felt it was really sweet and thoughtful of her to give something to her for Mother's Day although I know a maid does not earn much. Yet, with a pleasant camaraderie between her and the maid, it's like they have been friends for a very long time.

This just goes to show that even though a box of chocolates may not be worth much to one person, to another, the sentimental value is huge and it depends on which perspective you choose to see. So, before you judge someone or something, think about how you want to perceive it coz it affects you and the person affected as well.

Another thing. Proper behaviour. Man. What's with men nowadays? It's freaky what goes behind closed doors in public toilets of gents. Trust me. You would not want to know. Seriously, men can improve themselves if only they see how they are caring about their personal hygiene. The freakish sounds they make when they do their business behind the cubicles. It is seriously disturbing. UGH!

Just one thing I have to say on this one. I have nothing to say. Guess how the world works huh?

What a Week.

Heyya peeps!

Many things have happened so I thought I share them here. So here we go.

Last Thurday, I decided to visit Iluma since I did not get a chance to walk around ever since the day David Archuleta performed there (such sweet and wonderful memories). As I walked in, it felt somewhat empty. Haha! It's just a random feeling since I could not believe that the mall was actually packed on that day on all floors of the mall just to catch a glimpse of him.

Anyway, once I stepped in, I could already feel the cold air brushing my skin. It was an awesome feeling although it was strong since I was walking under the scorching sun outside. Nevertheless, I just enjoyed the cool atmosphere as I rode on the escalator and explored the mall.

Some shops were open while there were still some renovations going on in some parts. I was awed by the huge space of the mall. No kidding. It's BIG. There's a new movie ciniplex and I took pictures of the stands they had outside. Pretty cool stuff.

After that, I met the DA.sg peeps who are involved in the Let's Talk About Charity (LTAC) project and helped them gave out flyers for the project. It felt awkward at first but we all tried our best. For one thing, I'm not good at this kind of stuff. Haha! We had so much fun together so thank you guys! Hopefully we can do that again soon!

So on Friday, I realized I still had some flyers to give away. So, after my Friday prayers, I went to the library and gave them out to some secondary school peeps. Here is one such reaction.

Me: Hey there! Support charity. The info is all inside there in the flyer. -gives flyer- Thanks!
Girl: Oh ok.
-I walk away-

After a few seconds..
Girl: AH! DAVID ARCHULETA!

Haha! I think they did expect David to appear in there. Haha! More information on this project can be found at www.davidarchuleta.sg so check it out and support! :D

Today is Mother's Day eve so my sister and I decided to venture to Jurong Point to find a gift for our mom. It was hard to decide since there were not many gifts which were really practical yet sentimental. However, after much survey, we finally bought her a small, black pillow with a special message and cute bear on it. Haha! She loved it so I'm happy for that, just seeing her smile. She has faced a lot of problems in her life but still continues to live life as per normal. Thus I feel glad to see her persevere till the end. I love you, Mom.

It's kind of a long post so I'll stop for now. I'll ramble more on sentimental value and people's behaviours when I blog again. So at this point, I just want to wish everyone,

HAPPY DAVID ARCHULETA DAY!
and
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Bye! Nash out! :D

Perhaps? Maybe?

I randomly looked through a magazine and saw the description on my horoscope.

Libra

It's time to say goodbye to a number of people and places that no longer have any meaningful role in your life. You're an independent soul by nature, so you should be quite happy to set out on a new adventure, taking life as you find it.

Hmm. In a way, it's true. No wonder I have been having these weird feelings these past few days. What's more, one time, I just lied on my bed and faced the wall at night with no emotion or thought. Just staring blankly at the wall.

Oh well. Guess that's that.

Weird Twitter Dream

Hey peeps!

It's a fine and relaxing Saturday afternoon now so I thought I share a weird dream I had last night. Haha!

Alright, first up. This one was about Twitter. In the dream, I was on my computer just twitting, and I guessed I tried my luck at twitting David, hoping that he would reply at least once. Knowing that it would never happen for a long time, I merely just switched off my computer and went to sleep. Out of a sudden, my cell phone just kept beeping me coz why? David was replying to my tweets. Haha! And we kept twitting each till I woke up. Pretty random, but still cool. Haha! Maybe it's because I have been twittering these past few days and it has gotten to my head somehow. Haha!

Oh I just remembered another one. It's one where I jumped down a flight of staircases while levitating in the air as I slowly flew down and landed down softly. Truly a great feeling at that time. Haha!

American Idol is heating up and it's down to the Final 4! My vote? KRIS ALLEN! Haha! Go Kris! :D

Anyway, I have nothing much to say so I'll stop here for now. Until here then. Bye! Nash out! :D

Update

Hey peeps!

I'll just make a quick update on what's been happening in my oh-so-boring life.

I sketched the picture above since it looks cool. Haha! I think I need more practice on sketching lips though, but overall, it looks good to me. Haha! I'm going to try to sketch more since I have not done it for a while. I still love it. It's one of my hobbies. Ok I'm rambling. Never mind. Moving on.

I got a letter I was hoping would not come and got to know that I'm going to NS around September in Police. That means, I have around 4 more months of freedom to enjoy and to keep fit too. I'm not sure what to expect but I know it's going to be hell in there. Hopefully I can cope with lots of prayers and having faith that I can get through this phase of my life for the next 2 years or so.

So ya. That's about it. I guess I'm looking forward to the latest movie of Harry Potter coming out in July. That would be so exciting! I'm stoked just watching the trailer alone. Haha!

Until here then. Bye! Nash out! :D

Movie reviews

Hey peeps!

So, today my family decided to go out and watch the movie, Knowing, starring Nicolas Cage since the trailer looked pretty interesting and all. It all started well, with the audience already intrigued and causing the audience to grip on their seats almost immediately because of the mystery and suspense.

The story starts with this girl called Lucinda who kept hearing whispers by an unknown source. Actually, the whole class was supposed to draw their vision for the future and place them in a time capsule which would be opened 50 years later. However, she just wrote numbers on her paper and 50 years later, it got into the hands of Nicolas' son. Feeling curious, Nicolas decided to randomly pick a set of numbers and see what it meant. Finding out that the numbers were linked to a big disaster in a particular year, he tried to find a pattern and true enough he did. There were only 3 more disasters which have yet to occur, and he tried his best to stop them.

However, HOWEVER, the ending of the story spoiled the whole thing. Want to know what? Well, you have to watch it. Haha! The ending is totally unexpected. WHAT THE FISH MAN. Anyway, I just give it 3.5 out of 5 stars, since the special effects are awesome. Haha!

I planned to watch this when it came out in cinemas last time but I did not manage to catch it. So, when it was aired on TV just now, I felt happy. Haha! Anyway, I totally love the movie and how the whole cast is being put together with Academy-Award winner, Meryl Streep and the sweet Anne Hathaway as the lead roles. It's a fun movie where you get to see how the fashion business is like and the different lifestyles people working in this line are leading.

Also, it shows you how to deal with difficult people, in this case, the Devil herself played by Meryl and learning how to balance your life well socially. Overall, I love it. Haha!

So there. Haha! By the way, Graduation Day for me is May 12th, a Tuesday. Gosh! It has been three years already in poly? Man. Haha!

Until here then. Bye! Nash out! :D

The David Archuleta Experience - Part 2

All right! Let's continue with April 8th, the day after the Singapore showcase and autograph session with David Archuleta!

When I came back from the autograph session, my whole body was aching, so I did not know whether I would be able to hold on for the Private Meet and Greet (M&G) the next day. Therefore, I decided to sleep early to rest and set my alarm clock to ensure I woke up early.

My body felt slightly better the next day but I could still feel some aches but I managed to endure as they were not as bad as the day before. I got ready and packed my stuff before heading to City Hall MRT to meet the other lucky Archies before heading towards the hotel together for the Meet. At this point, I was still calm. It's just David. What could happen?

Once we reached the hotel, we proceeded to a room which had a "Private Meeting" sign placed outside. Larissa, one of the lucky Archies, set up her camera so she could take beautiful pictures of the moments with David. Everyone was starting to feel jittery as the time approached. He was supposed to meet us between 12 and 12.15 in the afternoon.

Soon, Ray, his tour manager came by to check out some things and Sheryl, the vice-president of DA.sg, suddenly blurted, "Oh my fish!". He merely turned and looked at the lot and said, "What?". Haha! It was a classic moment.

Suddenly, I heard some murmurings that David was already inside the room as he came from the door in the room (sneaky sneaky). Haha! It's understandable. As the door opened and closed, I saw a glimpse of him in a red shirt. I was pretty excited but nervous at the same time all of a sudden. Haha! The hotel staff was inside the room so we had to wait a while before we were given the green light. As some of the hotel ladies left the room, they were secretly spazzing but were trying to hide it. Haha! Typical, huh?

Soon, we were allowed to go in and I was the last to enter the room. He greeted us happily with that big, killer smile of his and is hands behind his back.

"Hey guys! How are you guys doing?"
"We are doing good!"

We placed our stuff on the floor and took pictures with him one by one. One of his funny, random comments was "That's a tiny jacket" when he took a picture with a girl because of what she was wearing. I'm not sure how to describe it but it's those jackets where it's only until chest. Haha! That was another classic moment.

When it was my turn, I said hi to him in which he replied back with a joyful "Hi!" in return and we took a couple of pictures. At that point, I could not believe I was standing beside him. It was a surreal moment. After that, I thanked him which he replied with, "Oh, you are welcome" and that smile again.

After the pictures were taken, each of us took turns again to talk to him and give him whatever we wanted to give him. Haha! When my turn approached, I walked up to him and gave him the Running wallpaper which Wincy, a Hong Kong Archie, printed for me the last time.

"Hey, this is a Running wallpaper I made."
"Oh wow, cool!"
"And here is a sketch I made of you. Could you sign it for me?"

Wallpaper:

Sketch:

I'm not sure what he said at this point as I blanked out for a moment, of all times. Why, man why? Anyway, he chose a silver pen and holding my sketch book firmly, he scribbled a big D followed by his signature. I merely looked at his hands when he signed my sketch for some reason. After he signed, I asked him if he could give a shoutout to a couple of Hong Kong Archies, Wincy and Hippie.

"Wincy and who?" -confused look- (I almost died here. Sorry random.)
"Wincy and Hippie."
"Oh ok."

As such, he got ready and smiled to the camera.

"Ok, ready, 1, 2, 3"

Here's the short clip. I love this moment.

After everyone met him, we showed him the Singapore banner and he was like "Aww cool! Who designed this?"and I raised my hand slowly. He looked at me for a moment before looking back at it and said "Awesome!". Then we took a group picture!

After that, the DA.sg peeps showed him the video which they made using his songs and gave him a CD which consisted of piano covers of his songs and the peeps singing it. David was really touched by it and Sheryl was quite emotional since she started the whole project as he was viewing the video. He consoled her by saying "Aww! Don't cry!" and held her close for a moment. It was really touching.

Soon, it was time for David to leave. Everyone bidded goodbye to him and he gave one last hug to Larissa (he should know her by now) before heading out of the room. Out of nowhere, everyone heaved sighs of happiness and some even burst into tears, still not accepting the fact we had met the boy wonder himself. We applauded for the President and Vice-President, Fifi and Sheryl for making this possible for all of us. After that, another group picture!

We soon had lunch and just spazzed more about David. Haha! It was great fun hanging out with other Archies!

In conclusion, I had fun during these past two days! I would never forget the experiences I had, fostering new bonds and making more friends, especially the International Archies! Thank you, DA.sg peeps, Dada, DL, Aura, Sharan and Prince for letting me meet you guys in person! You guys rock!

Also, meeting David himself was once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! If I get the chance to meet him again, I would try and chat more with him without trying to stone and blank out. Haha!

So, here are my experiences! I hope you guys enjoyed reading them! Until here then. Bye! Nash out! David FTW! :D

The David Archuleta Experience

Hey peeps!

It took me a while before I can finally blog about my experience with the boy wonder himself, David Archuleta! I'm still a little too not over it till now, but it may be a good thing. Haha!

All right, so first off.

April 7th.

It was the day where David was to have an autograph session at Iluma, a new shopping mall opposite Bugis Junction here in Singapore. I arrived at around 1pm and there was already some Archies sitting outside the doors of the mall. The autograph session was scheduled to held at 7pm that evening. Early huh?

I looked around for familiar faces before Larissa, an Archie, called out to me. And so, I joined them with someone shouting my name, Zaren, loudly to the others since I designed the banner for davidarchuleta.sg (DA.sg) and the free handheld fans for TeamArchie before I sat down. Thankfully, I was one of the first few in line.

Some Archies, whom I chatted with online, introduced themselves soon after. I was so excited and happy to have met them. They included DL from Sri Lanka, Aura and her sister, Sharan from India, Prince from Thailand and Ray and FSteven who were locals. I also met with the peeps from DA.sg too and got to chat and mingle with them. The free handheld fans from TeamArchie were also given to those who were present early.

As time passed by till around 4pm, more people started joining in the queue. Most of them consisted of students who came down straight from school. The DA.sg peeps then decided to show the banner which I designed for them. The crowd cheered and clapped and cameras were immediately taken out and pictures of the banner were snapped. We then cheered some more and soon around 530pm, the doors of the mall open.

Feeling the excitement, all stood up and started heading for the doors. Security was tight so one by one, each fan entered the mall and after the quick inspection of our Archie CDs, we sat down in front of the stage. There was still some time, so I took some pictures inside the mall. Songs from Archie's album started playing, so the crowd grooved and sang along. It was a fun atmosphere.

Soon, it was close to 7pm, the time David was supposed to appear. The emcee for the evening just reminded us to be careful and not push each other when David arrives later as there were kids in the crowd too and they want the event to run smoothly without anyone getting hurt. Even then, the whole crowd was stoked and pumped to see him with the loud cheers as they started to stand. The energy coming from the crowd was massive. Besides the 1st level, there were also people near the rails on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th storeys of the mall. The event was huge!

Suddenly, the crowd screamed loudly when the emcee announced his name again a few minutes later and I turned to see if he had arrived from the back entrance. Cameras were all ready to snap pictures of him above the heads of the crowd. There were more screamings before I finally caught sight of him as he waved to the crowd and headed towards a room first. Everyone waited in anticipation. The Meet and Greet sessions were going on at that time with some fans entering and leaving the room.

After that, the emcee announced his name again and I became deaf instantly with the really high pitched screamings from the girls behind me. As he walked out of the room and waved, he went up on stage. He was wearing a blue shirt with a tie, jeans and white sneakers. I could not believe who I was seeing. It was him. REALLY HIM.

The song played and he started singing Touch My Hand. I was smiling all the way as I recorded the video for that performance. Unfortunately, I did not record the rest of the performances as I had some technical errors that morning with my digital camera (long story). However, I managed to snap pictures for the rest of the performances.

He sang A Little Too Not Over You soon after, followed by a Thousand Miles on the electric piano and finally the hit song, Crush. He totally rocked that stage and kept hopping up and down at certain times but I could tell he was having fun. What's more, it was different to see him sing him live than seeing him sing on television. No word could describe how he performed and sang the songs live. It was incredible and sensational. I was blown away.

However, this was where it started to get ugly for me. My arms were aching from holding up the camera too long and the pictures I snapped kept turning out blur.

"Dang! Dang!"
"Oh crap! Crap!"

I kept muttering those words above angrily to myself when snapping the pictures as he performed but I tried my best to control my shakiness of holding the camera in order to prevent more blur pictures from being snapped. I mean, who wouldn't shake, when David Archuleta is performing right in front of your eyes for the first time? Well, I did.

After the performances, there were more cheers and screamings and I almost could not hear myself speak. Haha! Soon, the autograph session started and one by one in order, went up on stage to have our CD booklets signed by David. Each one was ushered quickly out of the stage as there was a huge crowd and they wanted him to sign as many autographs as he could.

When it was my turn, my CD booklet was given to him. As he signed, I just watched closely and after he was done, I took it from him and thanked him as I held out my hand. He looked at me blurly for a second before smiling and replied, "Oh, you are welcome" with his green eyes meeting mine for a couple of seconds and shook my hand firmly. He was seriously friendly and polite!

I think he was spacing out for a moment when he was signing my CD booklet. Haha! Anyway, his eyes were one of a kind. They showed sincerity and compassion, although it was only a quick glimpse. I would never forget those eyes.

As I walked down the stage and stared at his autograph, I felt really ecstatic and happy that I finally got to meet him. I mingled with the other Archies after that and I also got to meet Dada, an Archuleta Avenue member whom I also chatted with online. It was great to see her. I love her spunk. Haha!

Anyway, I shall stop here for the moment. Next up, April 8th. Until then. Nash out! :D

Kids

Hey peeps!

Today, I would be talking about kids in general since I have noticed a certain trend in them in terms of behaviour.

First of all, what's with kids nowadays? I feel like they are not like the kids before. Last time, kids are brought up in an environment whereby they learn to respect each other and have basic manners and courtesy. They learn to say hello whenever they meet someone they know, a teacher or friend perhaps. They learn to say sorry when they did something wrong and not blame the other person. They learn to excuse themselves should they need to pass through a crowd. Well, you get the idea.

Now, it's the total opposite. They would just stick out their tongues and tease you whenever you ask them to say hello to someone. They would keep blaming the other person for something they did wrong. They would just push you to one side with disrespect when they want to pass through your path and thinks the path is all his. This has come off too far and it has started to piss me off.

I feel that parents play an important role here in making sure their kids are brought up well. In this constant-developing world, parents need to be in control of their kids since the world is evolving and is starting to become one heck of a place unlike last time. Kids need to be protected and educated on the good and bad and what is right and wrong.

So, in conclusion, kids, behave yourselves and parents, do something about this. This is starting to annoy me, period.

Anyway, I just got the David Archuleta shirt designed by one of the S'pore Archies. It's dang awesome! Haha! He's coming next Tuesday! Man how time flies! How exciting!

Until here then. Bye! Nash out! :D

Eye-Opening

Hey peeps! I have not blogged for a while (not sure if anyone even reads but whatever) so I'll talk about what has been happening in my life these past few days.

I have been trying to keep fit, so in some mornings the past couple of weeks, I have been playing badminton with my peeps, Indra and Shamir. Shamir was really good as we kept having the same points after each round. Haha! It was always deuces in the end, which got Indra, I don't know, jealous? Haha! Not really jealous but just feeling wierd that he could not achieve that kind of performance whenever he plays against either of us. Anyway, it was a great workout and I get to run and smack so it was cool. Haha!

Today, I got a chance to meet some Thai Archie fans! It was an awesome outing! This is like the first time I met an Archie face-to-face, especially an overseas one so that was pretty cool. I got to meet another 2 Singapore Archies too.

One of them, Larissa just shared her experiences about her meetings with David, so it was a pleasant afternoon. The other one was a Secondary 2 boy named Raihan who was kind of shy. Haha! But he kept smiling and laughing when we joked around, so we were happy together. Haha! Ok I'm not making sense here but..never mind moving on.

We took some pictures and just laughed some more. Haha! Pictures might be uploaded soon. :)

Lastly, a wierd dream I had. Ok first of all let me just say this does not happen to me often but this was one of a kind. So here we go..

I was in my room, chatting with a friend who came over (I guess, I'm not sure. I just remembered chatting with someone). Then, for some reason, I decided to leave the room for a while, perhaps to get a drink.

To my surprise, David Archuleta was singing Crush in my living room as he was strumming his guitar. There were also some screaming girls nearby. He was sitting on my sofa, singing with full of emotion as reflected on his face. I think at this point, I blamed my mum for not telling me David was in the house. MY house. But she just kept silent. Haha!

After he finished singing, he went up to me. I asked him how was Singapore (of all questions. Haha!). He said it was cool but still had others part of Asia to tour so he was excited and smiled at me.

Then I woke up, freaked out and pondered to myself. Did that really happen?

Gosh, it's next week! Eek! :D

Anyway, until here then. Bye! Nash out!

Towards The End

We are towards the last few pages of the book. Chapter 3 is about Fun and Games so I'll just pick the interesting things in there. Haha!

Are You Good or Evil?

Maybe you're a blessing. Maybe you're a curse. Take this quick personality quiz and find out.

1. It's Grandpa's birthday. What would you like to get him?

a. I'd like to get him a car.
b. I'd like to get him some medicine. He seems to like that.
c. I'd like to get him locked up.

2. You find a purse full of money. What would you do?

a. I'd organize a huge search to find the rightful owner.
b. I'd take it to the police and let them handle it.
c. Purse? What purse? I never saw a purse.

3. Your little brother wants some of your candy bar. What would you do?

a. I'd give him the candy and trust him to split it and give me half.
b. I'd split it and give me half.
c. I'd split it so he thought he was getting some, and then I'd eat both halves as his howls of jealous rage enhanced the delicious sweetness of the moment.

4. Your aunt, who is, like, 100 years old, asks you if you think a face-lift would help her appearance. What would you say?

a. "Don't be silly. You're absolutely gorgeous."
b. "That's really up to you, Auntie, but I think you look fine."
c. "Would a face-lift help? I don't think a forklift would help."

5. There's a baby bird sitting in the path of an incoming bus. What would you do?

a. Risk my life by diving to save the baby bird.
b. Stay on the sidewalk and yell to the bus driver, "Stop! Stop!"
c. Check and see if I have any maple syrup in my backpack for the baby bird pancake I'm about to enjoy.

Scoring your answers:

IF YOU ANSWERED MOSTLY C, start growing out your bangs now. You'll want them to conceal the horns that will be sprouting soon.

IF YOU ANSWERED MOSTLY B, you're a normal, average person. But in spite of that, you're good.

IF YOU ANSWERED MOSTLY A, you're so good that you're practically an angel. Either that or you're a big phony and a huge liar, and that makes you the most evil of all.

Deep down, we're all exactly alike. Except for the chicken, which you might remember is a huge jerk. We're all alike except for the huge jerks.

Congratulations!

You are now officially ready to Have a Life!

Take good care of it, and don't tell the idiots you have one or they'll want to get their grimy paws all over it.

Here are a few nuggets of wisdom to take with you as you go.

Chapter 4: One order of nuggets to go.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. But you can have your cake and eat someone else's cake too, and that's kind of better anyway.

Exercise hard. Eat right. Die anyway.

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Unless it's about somebody who can't hear you.

Never be ashamed of your mood swings. I mean, who doesn't love swings?

The voices in your head are not real, but they still have some really great ideas.

And finally, always remember: You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family. But you can choose the insane asylum where you have them all put away.

Everything will be just fine! Yeah Right.

Hope you enjoyed the short but insightful chapters of the book. Haha! At least I did anyway. Until here then! Bye! Nash out! :D

More Rabbit Wisdom

Here's Chapter 2. :D

Fables teach valuable lessons, like let Grandma get her own basket of goodies. Read this one, and see how much smarter it makes you.

Chapter 2: The Fable of the Excellent Bunny

Once there was this excellently perfect bunny (like you). The bunny always did perfectly excellent things.

One day the bunny met this chicken who was a huge jerk.

And this chicken always did mean horrible things.

The excellent bunny wanted to make friends with the jerk chicken. But as you know, there's no talking to jerks like that.

So the bunny let his friend, Mr Bear, eat the chicken.

And then everything was great!

Moral: All problems can be solved by letting a bear eat them

Quiz Time!

Let's see if you truly understand the moral of the story.

After I read "The Fable of the Excellent Bunny" I felt:

A) The need to acquire a bear.
B) Alarm over the number of people I know who recently acquired their own bears.
C) Swindled out of the cost of this book.

Answer: The incorrect answer is C.

Ooh American Idol is going Country this week. It'll be interesting to see what the contestants would sing. Haha! And Carrie Underwood would perform too. Awesome! Looking forward to it!

Until here then. Bye! Nash out! :D

Race. Review. Ramble.

Hey peeps! Today is all about reviews since I have nothing interesting going on in my life. Well, today I watched Walt Disney's Race to Witch Mountain. The trailer kept playing on my TV set every time I turned it on so I thought it would be cool to watch it since it looked interesting.

The movie stars Dwayne Johnson, also known as "The Rock" who plays a cab driver in Las Vegas. It also stars Alexander Ludwig, who played a role in The Seeker (not that you guys would know but anyway). It's basically a simple storyline of a sci-fi movie, with two aliens (well in teenage human form) trying to get home but needs help in getting to their spaceship which is located, as you have guessed, in Witch Mountain located in the middle of nowhere. I shall say no more since it won't be exciting for those who want to see the movie but have not done so.

In my opinion, although the plot is predictable, the humour and special effects do make up for it. Funny lines from the cast and cool animation such as the spaceship and hi-tech computer system in the spaceship would surely entertain you that you would forget about the plot altogether. It's cool and fun for the whole family to see on the weekends so you guys should see if you just need to relax and unwind as well as laugh. Haha!

And other words of wisdom and junk that will make you wise or something.

All right. Here's Chapter 1 of the book I talked about in my previous post.

Intro:

This is a book. Unless you don't read, then it's a coaster.

No actual bunnies were physically harmed or emotionally damaged in the making of this book (though one chicken did sustain minor injuries). Any wisdom one gets from a bunny is probably not that hot. For your own safety, please do not take the advice of bunnies.

So you want to get wise, do you?

Well, you read Confucius or Socrates. You could study Solomon or Plato. But only one form of wisdom really and truly has a lot of pictures of bunnies...(if you get the book and see the pictures, you'll know what this means. Haha! Moving on..)

Chapter 1: Ancient Bunny Wisdom

The world does not revolve around me. It's the whole stupid universe that revolves around me.

There's no "I" in team. But there's a "me".

Love makes the world go round. But I'm pretty sure money has something to do with it too.

Work hard and the world is your oyster. Yup, you get a big, snotty oyster-scented world.

You can help anyone turn a frown outside down! Just pull off their head and flip it over.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Unless, of course, they did unto you first, and now you have to totally open a can of "unto" on them.

Laughter is the best medicine. So if you meet somebody with broken ribs, make sure to tickle them.

We must never, ever be mean to stupid people. If we are, they might go away. Then, who will we laugh at?

Learn the difference between right and wrong. You'll probably choose wrong, but you should at least know which is which.

When life gives you lemons..
..use them to squirt lemon juice into the eyes of your enemies.

I was sad because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet. And I said, "Hey Footless Dude, guess you won't mind if I take your shoes."

Every cloud has a silver lining..
..for example, the most horrible farts can be used to inflate the most beautiful balloons.

Anybody who says you only have yourself to blame..
..is just not very good at blaming other people.

Quiz Time!
Okay, you've been on the path to Enlightenment now for 27 pages (if you read the book). Let's see if you are any closer.

Is the glass half empty or half full?

A) Half empty.
B) Half full.
C) I like pancakes and ducks.

Answer: The correct answer is C. Sometimes, the key to wisdom is not to answer every stupid question that somebody asks you.

More coming soon. Haha! Anyway, until here then. Bye! Nash out! :D

%^&*%$#@*&!

As I have suspected, I am sick with the flu, followed by a headache and a slight sore throat ever since yesterday. I only had a slight flu last Thursday when I had take-out dinner (KFC and Canadian Pizza) to celebrate my parents' 21st wedding anniversary but it was gone soon after. For some reason, the flu bug decided to hang around the house and attack me one Friday afternoon while I was lounging and watching TV. Ugh.

So ya, I have to battle with the constant runny nose and slight headaches and sore throat until I get better. Lots of panadol pills and hot Lemsip drinks have entered my body and somehow, I still don't feel the effect. Ugh again. Sniffs.

I have come across this book by Jim Benton which is hilarious! Most of the content is somewhat common sense but in a funny way. It talks about life from a bunny's perspective. I'll share the content soon. I totally laughed with my sister when we read it.

Well, until here then so as not to spread the virus through here. Haha! Bye! Nash out! :D

Nervous Wreck!

Hey peeps!

I am now in the school library just chilling and taking a sigh of relief. Why? Well, I just finished a TV interview in the morning just now for the news later tonight about the NP Advantage scheme, which was recently announced. Man, I was a nervous wreck! First time in front of the camera where people would watch it on the news later at night. I'll hide in my room for that half-an-hour telecast before I'll come out again. Gosh!

Now I know why some people dislike looking themselves on the mirror let alone, the TV. I probably messed up a lot and rambled who-knows-what but thankfully the reporter was friendly enough to guide us through the whole thing. Still, I think I messed up. Haha! Anyway, it was great insight to how interviews are done professionally on TV. Haha!

For some reason, I'm into chipmunked remix songs now. Haha! Some are pretty funny while some actually sound good. Haha! I laughed till my stomach ache just now when I listened to some songs I usually listen to in chipmunk. Haha! You guys should check them out on YouTube. Pretty cool stuff. Awesome! :D

Until here then. Nash out! :D

New Layout

All right! A new layout is up! For the latest, I just made it simple with only the change in the banner, which is my own.Yesterday, I went out with my friends, Lyd, Wani and Rahima from secondary school, whom I never met for quite a while, except for Indra who I have been in touch with since then (well, until now, we are in the same school. What do you expect? Haha!). Pretty cool stuff.

We met around 2pm at Plaza Singapura and had lunch at Pastamania, which recently turned halal according to Wani. The food's pretty tasty too. While we ate, as usual, we shared some laughs here and there, just like old times. I noticed all of us did not change much, except for appearance and the paths we took ever since we parted.

After that, we walked to the arcade where Rahima's younger brother who she brought along with wanted to play some games. We took a few pictures and some us of us decided to go karaoke-ing so we went to find K-Box.

Unfortunately, we were shocked by the prices they charge (like REALLY SHOCKED) and so we changed plan to watch a movie instead. We watched Slumdog Millionaire. I can see why the movie is up for many awards, due to its true portrayal of India and its people, especially slums. It's a really good insight, so I recommend you guys to watch it. Note that it is NC16 as there are pretty disturbing scenes. I shall not describe them here but you get the idea what the rating generally means.

After that, we went to the Esplanade and just chilled for a while. We chatted about the past, the present and future. At the same time, we took some pictures together and laughed again. It was fun relieving those moments once more.
Soon, it was time to head home. We boarded the same bus and once again, more pictures taken and laughter. Haha! We still like to joke around, even in the bus. Haha! To sum up, it's great seeing my old peeps again and hopefully, we get to hang out again soon. :D

To those who are still reading this ordinary blog of mine, thanks for still doing so and take care! :D

Revamp of blog soon. Bear with me. :)

Update: 75% done :)

I'm posting this song by Carrie Underwood after all the ups and downs I have been feeling this week. Now, I'm feeling slightly better. It's really beautiful. Enjoy! :D

So Small - Carrie Underwood (Click Here)

Yeah, Yeah

[Verse 1]
What you got if you ain't got love
the kind that you just want to give away
It's okay to open up
go ahead and let the light shine through
I know it's hard on a rainy day
you want to shut the world out and just be left alone
But don't run out on your faith

[Chorus]
'Cause sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand
What you've been up there searching for
forever is in your hands
When you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
seem so small

[Verse 2]
It's so easy to get lost inside
a problem that seems so big at the time
it's like a river thats so wide
it swallows you whole
While you sit around thinking about what you can't change
and worrying about all the wrong things
time's flying by
moving so fast
you better make it count 'cause you can't get it back

[Chorus]
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand
What you've been up there searching for
forever is in your hands
When you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Seem so small

Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand
What you've been up there searching for
forever is in your hands
When you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Oh it sure makes everything else
Seem so small

Yeah, Yeah

And one more thing. I have been given a couple of disrespectful remarks this week. What's with the people man? Well one thing, a random person who I added in MSN suddenly cursed and swore at me for no reason. HUH?! I didn't even say anything to you. What is your problem? I thought since you want to add me to make friends, it's all right with me. But why are you showing me disrespect for no reason?

Another incident happened when a taxi driver showed me the middle finger when he drove past me. At that time, I was at a provision shop. I did not know about it till the kind shop lady told me. Geez man. What is the world turning into?

So from here, there are 2 things I would like to say. It's all right if you want to make friends with me, but if you just add me just to bring me down and think you are bigger than me by cursing and swearing at me, I'll just delete and block you from my list.

Second, I'm still waiting for the world to change. It's not the same as a few years ago. It used to be more kinder. What is happening people?

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

I'm seriously getting more and more emotionless by the day. My eyes are getting more bloody too. Eyebags? Possibly.

Anyway, attachment officially ended last Friday. It was kind of my manager and one of my seniors to treat me to lunch. I didn't really expect that since they have loads of work to do. Haha! Thanks so much for your guidance at EY. I'm honoured to be in your team.

Now, I have to complete a multimedia project related to the attachment, which my group already completed a couple of hours ago. Haha! Amazing stuff and timing. And to think we only managed to only plan the day after the attachment ended. Haha! And it's wierd hearing my own voice too during the process.

If my life goes on like this, I'm not sure where I'll end up. Sigh.

Sunday, February 01, 2009

Gosh it's been a month since I last blogged. Spider webs in sight too.

Well, my life is boring as you can probably tell. Nothing much happened really. Attachment is as per normal, like a routine. Well, it is a routine. Let's see.

Wake up.
Stretch.
Brush teeth.
Shower.
Dress up.
Have breakfast.
Plug in earphones.
Walk to the train station.
Listen to the radio or your own music/Take a doze for a moment.
Walk to the workplace.
Greet and smile to your co-workers.
Drink Milo.
Read the Today newspaper you picked up on the way.
Glance at watch.
Ask for work.
Day passes by.
Ask for any work before leaving for the day.
Heads back to train station.
Plug in earphones.
Listen to the radio or your own music/Take a doze for a moment.
Walk back home.
Do your best to enjoy the rest of the day before tomorrow comes again.

I'm sure you are having a pretty much better life than me. I don't really blame anyone for this. Maybe it's me. Ya you feel sick having to hear "Maybe it's me". I don't blame you for that too. But that's just how I feel every day. Me. Everything leads up to me. Me. Sometimes, I just feel like running away from all of this and just take a moment. A minute. A second. To have some serenity in me. Other people have their own lives to lead, so I shall not disturb them.

I have nothing else to say. To sum it all, my life=probably something you do not want to be in. Bye.

Hey people. Or myself.

I'll just review a movie I just watched recently. It's Transporter 3. Amazingly, it has attracted many viewers at the cinema alone on opening day, which amazed me. I'm guessing the movie must be dang awesome. And it is!

Jason Statham is now officially one of my favourite actors. Haha! He really gets into the role of Frank Martin, who has this cool yet threatening demanour about him whenever you are near him. One thing's for sure. Don't mess with him, especially with his suit and car. He'll be mad, that's for sure. Like REAL mad. Haha! Love his fighting moves too. Great chereography! :D

Time has flew by and there's only one month left before my internship ends! Awesome! Haha! I'll be jumping for joy in the last day. Haha! :D

Well, until here then. Byez! Nash out! :D
